This piece was a performance for Chinning Liu’s solo gallery exhibition, Ashes to: Ashes. The score is entitled, “wish you were here”. The performance, sculpture, and projection series was a live simulation of decay as we channeled our undigested feelings of grief in hopes to promote healing. This was a live loop performance where the recordings decay slowly over time (approaximately 200 ms). It was programmed in MaxMSP by Arlo Tomecek.
